I have already begun to worship Bobby Wade.
He is the one true messiah you all will see after the season of the reckoning.

Wouldn't the wiser move be to hold out and get the right player?
No, the wiser move would be to adjust your scheme to maximize the productivity of talented player you just got.

For example: we all expect us to run more with the addition of AD. To do that you have to change the scheme from last year, when we passed 55% of the time. If we do run more, we should be more successful on offense. That is what you call putting your players in the best position to make big plays and win the game for you.

Childress on the other hand, took a solid player like Jermaine Wiggins and saw him as useless because "he didn't fit the scheme." Wiggins' productivity dropped because the coach was unwilling to change his scheme to fit in our best pass catcher when we were having problems catching the ball.

Are Shiancoe, Wade, Rice, and Allison better than Wiggins, Robinson, Taylor, and Johnson?

They might be in the future, but right now certainly not. We are just going to have to run more.

Which is basically what Childress said he would do after we hired him. You adjust the WCO scheme to maximize the best qualities of the players your dealt.

I don't think he held true to that enough. Wiggins was a perfect example of that.

I wasn't refering to players already on the roster... I was referring to free agency and draft.

I do agree though with your assessment of players such as Wiggins who were already proven.

Well, in that case, the right move would be to get the most talented player available even if he does not fully fit your scheme. Why, because he is better that the player who does fit the scheme.

I can't tell you exactly which season, that would be no fun.

But I can tell you this...

    It has been forseen,
an heir to the powers of the green Eagle shall rise to sit over the Norse
and he will bekon from the land of the Titans a great king of Vallhalla
    the almighty
king and it's allies of purple fire shall strike down the great leader through gridiron cargnage
The twin golden cities shall become the dominion of the new dynasty.

The Gods will praise with great thunder and sky will burn in radiant blaze

Even as homery as some PPOers get, I don't recall "lots" anointing Bethel Johnson as the savior of anything but the kickoff return game - and that's questionable too.

Accumulate another and you're sent off the pitch, mister.

    You're kidding, right?
    Every NFL coach does that.

Wiggins' productivity dropped because he was a liability in running situations and the WCO offense generally goes 3 or 4 WRs with a RB in passing situations.
The Vikings ran the ball tons last year with Taylor and Wiggins could not be involved in that because of his poor run-blocking technique.
