One of the biggest offseason free-agent spending sprees still wasn't enough to eat up much of the NFL's available salary-cap space. As a result, the league could be in for another significant rise in player salaries this year and next.....

    1. Cleveland $22 million

    2.
    Buffalo $21 million

    3. Minnesota $20 million

    4. Jacksonville $16.5 million

    5. Kansas City $16.2 million

    6. Green Bay $16 million

    7. Tennessee $15.3 million

    8. Dallas $13.8 million

    9. Oakland $12.5 million

    10. Philadelphia $11.5 million

    11. St. Louis $11.5 million

    12. New Orleans $11.2 million

    13. Seattle $10.5 million

    14. N.Y. Jets $10 million

I just hope we spend enough to match the win total that the Lions players are guaranteeing for their club!
    :
I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

Let's save it and burry it in a hole, for when we really need it.

wow that would be crazy if Troy Brown isn't a Pat, its to be expected but I completely forgot about him.
I like the way he plays... I'd want him on the Vikes to help out all of the developing WR's - and yes we cant just assume that all veterans will be great mentors but I can.

I would love to see what kindof DE FA are out there for next year.
Think the season will show that we still have a problem with our pass rush and not our pass, pass protection.

We can't pass, and we can't stop the pass. Why did they ever put in that stupid forward pass anyway?

In all seriousness though. I think we're gonna surprise people this year. The one thing I am seriously concerned with is the right side of our line.

Pass rush has a lot returning to it. Greenway, James, Udeze on his natural side, Frazier's system, and our secondary should be able to pull off some coverage sacks now that we're deeper.

On the offensive side of the ball our passing game should be fine, we have talent in place, but they haven't been successful so far... but really haven't had a chance.
If Troy can catch the ball he'll make a huge impact. Sidney Rice is also extremely talented and should a great weapon in the redzone. Bobby Wade should also produce well, from what I've read about him is, he's a Torry Holt type receiver, good at running the quick routes, good hands, not a big physical guy, or a burner, but a quality wide receiver. Peterson is an excellent receiver out of the backfield, as is Chester Taylor and Mewelde Moore. Tjack, with protection should be able to get the ball to all of these guys, and we've all seen the cannon he has, so the deep ball should hopefully be flying this year. But the key to all of it is the pass protection... we can set it up with our running game, we'll be huge on play-action, but on pure passing downs we could see a lot of pressure from the right side. Fortunately Tarvaris is pretty good on his feet and should be better at avoiding the sack than Brad Johnson.

I'm excited for this season, but not setting my hopes too high, because for all of the excitement I have, we could fail dramatically(aka do what we did last year) in those areas.
