We need to prove we are top 10 before they hand us a ranking.. No one knows how Erasmus and Udeze will pan out..

Although P-will and K-will did really good, it shouldn't put us in the top 10 quite yet
I do agree with that but I think we should be top 15 despite the fact that Erasmus and Kenechi are lacking. Pat and Kevin should be enough to put part of our o-line over the top.

Only teams ahead of us there that I don't think should be there are the Bengals and the Ravens..

They both have good D's.. But not better all around talent on the line

After this year we will be top ten maybe top 5. We have a secondary to be feared and linebackerrs are improved, this will help huge.

For starters this ranking is for FANTASY FOOTBALL not the real game.

Considering where we started last season I think this is perty good.

I love the fact that the Dallas Cowgirls are ranked 28th

I agree that this is BS. with the proven talent that we have at DT and the young DE's we should easily be in the top 5. Top ten at least. Oh well, it doesn't suprise me that we once again get no credit.

The thing is guys.. We barley got any sacks last year..

The line isn't changed all that much.. Just Udeze coming back.. And Rasmus has a year under his belt..

I wouldn't expect to be in the top 10 just yet guys!

Even if we prove ourselves this year, do you honestly think they'll give us any credit?? I don't believe so seeing as the only positive press we've had for the past year is that article about Childress that was recently posted. Maybe I'm just bitter, but I think those writers love to tear the Vikings down as much as they love to blow T.O. up all over the cover page with his antics.

I would say that Seattle and Atlanta are overrated and I would put NE and Carolina ahead of them based on the personnel they have. But these rankings change on a weekly basis based on production as the season goes on.

Also this is biased based on the schemes team run because some teams just use the DL to tie up blockers and allow the LB to make all the plays.

Sacks are not the end-all for judging the performance of a defensive line.

The Vikings produced as a fantasy defense by forcing 32 turnovers. Minnesota tied division rival Green Bay at 19th overall at 21.5 points allowed. The return of Kenechi Udeze from injury allowed the Vikings to part ways with longtime pass rusher Lance Johnstone. Udeze with team with 2005 draft pick Erasmus James to form youthful and talented bookends on the defensive line. Veteran Pat Williams effectively stuffs the run and slows up plays up the middle while 2003 top draft pick Kevin Williams had provided solid production at the other tackle position.
There's NO WAY IN HE*LL we are in the bottom-half in the league in D-Line play!!! P.Williams SHOULD have been a pro-bowler last year and K.Williams has already been a pro-bowler. Kenichi and Erasmus have some things to prove, that's for sure, but our tackle combo is easily top 5 in the league.

    Idiot writers.

    =Z=

I agree completely!!! I don't think we are a Top 5 but at least a top 10!!! I can't believe the Cardinals are ranked ahead of us!!!
