This game in my opinion is a must win game! We would be 2-2 heading into the bye week. I think this is a possible upset a home. The homefield advantage will be huge and we should be getting T-Rich and Chester back so those are some key additions. You notice game one it was at home T-Rich played and we were getting pressure on the QB. The reason why the pass defense has been so bad is we are not getting much pressure on the QB. I hope T-Jack is back and healthy. Those are just some key factors in this game
dude I think Holcomb should start he looks like he can run the o better and btw our d is one of the leading sack teams in the league behind the steelers

Holcomb cant run the offense better are you kidding me? In the 4th quarter he was having troubles calling the play which led to alot of time being wasted. The reason why we are so high in sacks is week one i think we had like 6-7 sacks. I dont think we have 6 sacks combined the last two games and getting pressure on the QB doesnt only mean getting sacks....

We need to run the ball well and get pressure on Favre.
    Simple as that.

Oh and it would help to score more than 10 points on offense.

I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

We must find a way to sustain drives to keep the ball away from Farve. We must cap these drives with points. We have to score on offense, atleast 24 points. Defense must beat Farve up everytime he has the ball he must be harried into mistakes. He'll set a record alright.... the interception record.

It will be quieter in the Dome thus allowing Birk to make good line calls and they will protect/block better.
Throw in the return of T-rich and I think our passing game will emerge behind a good running game.

My buddey Z will get his Section rolling which will inturn infect the rest of the purple faithfull in attendance drowning out the stupid Puker fans that will be there.
This will cause Favreeeee and his stupid offense to falter.

    Final outcome. Vikes (27) - Pukers 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, (15).
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

I hate to say this and I hate to be a downer. Farve is going to make our CBs look like high schoolers. We are in big trouble! Griffin and McCauley are looking very poor and we need to get a Vet in here or teams are going to pass on us all year. We have all this money and we fail to bring in an OL and CB. I have said this before and it seems to be killing us this year.

As I posted on another thread....

We've got to pressure Favre and blanket Donald Driver.
Young WRs Greg Jennings and James Jones are more likely to make a mistake that our defense can capitalize on (INT, or even just incomplete).
I'm not sure I'd try to respect the Packers running game at all.
I think the Packers will come out throwing, and just throw all day.

As others have posted, we need to control the ball on the ground, but above all, not turn the ball over.
If we can turn it into a field position game like we did against Atlanta, bottle GB up deep in their own territory and force them to drive 80 yards every time, we've got a good chance at holding them to 17 points or less.

Re: TD picks us to beat Packers!

It kills me that everyone is talking about our pass defense like it is the worst passing D ever.
    It isn't.
It is the weakest park of a damn good defense, but it is still decent.

Yes, Griffin is going through a sophomore slump.
And our pass rush needs to be better.
But the bend-don't-break attitude of our cover-2 defense is working.
Teams are averaging only 12.6 points per game against us.
The most points any team has scored against us was Detroit with 20.
And Detroit has the top ranked passing Offense BTW...

This game is winnable on D.
If our offense can click, we have it in the bag.
THAT, btw, is why Green Bay are only two point favorites...

I could not agree more completely.
The Pukers defense is pretty solid...another problem.
Our CBs are gonna need to step up, because Favre is gonna get a steady dose of Leber, Henderson, and Greenway in his face.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

Hopefully, the Vikings fans in attendence will keep the the noise going and drown out what should be a large Packer contingent.
