Tatum Bell claims to be the man in Denver

Broncos | Bell wants to be the number one option
Thu, 1 Jun 2006 07:23:00 -0700
Jeff Legwold, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports Denver Broncos RB Tatum Bell wants to be the team's main option at running back for the 2006 season. "We were second in the league (rushing) last year rotating, so we should be in the top five again if we rotate," said Bell. "But I feel like I can be in the top five if I get those carries (laughs). I'm really just going to crank it up a notch. This year, I am not taking no for an answer. If I stay healthy, I feel like I'll be the man, that's just how I see it."

Ron Dayne may have something to say about that.

Re: Tatum Bell claims to be the man in Denver
Personaly,
I thought Ron Dayne showed some signs of what he should have been last year....
I could never figure out why he didn't produce for the Giants, their game play and style of play should have fit him nicely, but he never shined...
I guess it just comes down to the fact, some are great college players, but in the pro's, they just don't shine.......

Dayne was solid last year..
I think he is more fit to be the back there imo..
Bell is small and I hear he breaks down easy
Dayne is a tank and showed some promise last year

Bell has to be the man they have nothing behind him since Mike Anderson left for the Ravens.

Since he hasn't yet in 2 seasons, I wouldn't bank on him being there for 16 games. And big Ron Dayne had flashes of his Wisconsin form, but he's still not an every-down back. I would imagine that the Broncos will be scouring the waiver wire for a pick-up or 2 over the next couple months.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!
