Tarvaris Jackson knocked out of game

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/10/09/tarvaris-jackson-knocked-out-of-game/

Jackson left the game after an 11-yard run on the second Seahawks possession of the second half. Jackson was holding his right arm after a hit by
Dave Tollefson and trainers started looking at his shoulder once he got to the sideline. That suggests a collarbone or shoulder injury for the Seahawks quarterback who was taken to the locker room shortly after his departure from the field. His return is being called questionable.

Defense won this one for them - Eli insisted he was an "Elite" QB...then threw 3 INTs. Yup, you're real elite, She-lie.

Jackson is out - yet another injury for him. Seems to be a recurring theme with Jackson. But with Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Dallas coming up, this is a BAD time for him to be hurt. This will give Whitehurst a shot at making an impression - something Jackson has struggled to do - and could spell the end of the Jackson era.

    Mmmmmmm.....beeeeeeeeer.......

Whitehurst looked good when he came in. Hard to say if Jackson ever gets back on the field if the injury isn't serious.

a source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that Jackson actually suffered a pectoral injury.

Not sure if that is bad or good.

If you thought Whitehurst looked good, you must have really liked Jackson.

Or do you think completing 58% of your passes is better than completing 68%?

So the fact that TJ had an INT and Whitehurst had none is also to be ignored in the comparison?

Or that Whitehurst had a higher YPC number?

No, don't ignore it, but who knows if Whitehurst would have thrown one had he played for 3 quarters?

Jackson's yards per attempt was 7.5, Whitehurst's was 7.8. Each threw a TD.

Completing 68% of your passes is better than completing 58%.

    The way some are talking here, you would think;

    1. Whitehurst played light's out, while TJ sucked.
    2. They watched the Seahawks game & not the Vikings.

I thought his triple digit passer rating game with limited practise in the nohuddle scheme was pretty good, and he had no turnover.....just wondering if you actually saw the game.

Jackson got close to half his passing yardage on the first drive of the game and played over 2 quarters and Whitehurst played less than 2 quarters with minimal reps and did well. He did have a good crack at a 2 td showing but Rice was late in looking for the pass CW throw from the Giants 25.
