Even if defensive tackle Tank Johnson is suspended for the entire 2007 season, don't think for a second that teams won't be interested in giving him another shot....

Jerry Jones is a pompus a-hat, and will hire any dirtbag off the street if he thinks it will bring them (plowboys) to the SuperBowl.... Man I Hate the Cowpukes, and hope we whoop their hind-ends 2 times this year.

I think he should go to the Bengals, they need more character problems.

OK, but he is missing a pretty big point.
Tank has a minimum of an 8 game suspension to serve, possible more if he is convicted of drunk driving.

    I have a question.
Even if he sits out the 2007 season, doesn't he still have to either serve the suspension or have it waived by the commish?
I didn't think the suspension counted is he wasn't currently on a team.
    I could be wrong...

I don't think it matters if he is on a team or not. Wasn't Onterrio cut before his suspension was up?

He can be cut, that's no problem.
But I don't think the suspension time counts unless he is on a roster.
So if another team picks him up next year, they will still have to deal with his 8 game suspension.

Suspended running back Onterrio Smith's agent has filed the necessary paperwork for his client to be reinstated from his one-year ban.

If allowed back in the league, Smith will be free to sign with any team, as he was cut by the Vikings before his suspension came down. Smith is only 26 and maintains a career average of roughly five yards-per-carry.

    Re: Tank to the Cowboys?

At NFL.com, there is a video of Sharper discussing Tank and da Bears D (you can play them in full realplayer mode).
Sharper razzes ex-Bear Tom Waddle and check out how Tom responds.

    Video

Who knew Tank's real name is Terry and didn't tell me?
