Talk about needing a vertical threat...guess who might be available next year?

Blah blah blah yeah I know you don't want to hear it and I realize posters get stoned for mentioning him but Mr. Randy Moss has stated he is not to happy with Oaklands going right now. I can't seem to find the link but basically what he said is that he isn't producing because he isn't happy....hmmm...and seeing as how he isn't going to be happy anytime soon this might open trade talk asap. In fact you could say R. Moss may have played his last season as a Raider.

If Randy was to be traded this offseason I don't think the asking price is going to be too much since Oakland's suckiness has greatly devalued him. Anything from a 2nd-3rd round pick.

Anyways I don't know if this information has been posted yet so just lock it down merge it, whatever...lol.
Because I'm a Vikings fan, they are that much sexier.

I think its safe to say that no one is very happy in Oakland right now. I hate to say something like this but If Al davis' health really is failing. It could be the best thing to happen to Oakland. All the Coaches that were available and they were only able to hire Art Shell who hadn't coached in how many years? Its a job that is wanted about the same as the floor cleaner at the adult peep show

I could be wrong, and I probably am, but I seem to remember hearing that Moss has an option on his contract that could make him a free agent... If he so chooses. Anyone who has more info on that (his contract that is), hook it up. It's late and I'm too tired to research it at the moment. I'll check back tomorrow.

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Do people work best when they're happy, or should professionalism be motivation enough? Oakland Raiders team captain Randy Moss and coach Art Shell seem to have different viewpoints.

Moss, asked Monday about dropping more passes than usual this season, said perhaps his lack of happiness has affected his play.

"Maybe because I'm unhappy, and I'm not too much excited about what's going on, so my concentration and focus level tends to go down when I'm in a bad mood," Moss said. "So all I can say is if you put me in a good situation and make me happy, man, you get good results."

Moss made the comments after appearing at a news conference announcing the establishment of a college football award in his honor -- the Randy Moss Award, to be given to the top return specialist in Division I-A.

Shell, a Hall of Fame offensive lineman during the Raiders' salad days in the 1970s, disagreed when Moss' comments were relayed to him at his weekly news conference.

"Is that what he said? Well, then that's a problem he has. I don't have that problem," Shell said. "You hate to hear that. You hate to see that."

"You're paid to play a game you've played for many years and that you love and once you hit the field, you compete," Shell said. "That's the way Art Shell sees it."

Moss leads the woeful Raiders with 33 catches for 455 yards and three touchdowns -- but that's well below his earlier career standards. In 109 games with the Minnesota Vikings, Moss caught two or fewer passes 11 times; he's had two or fewer catches in eight of 25 games as a Raider.

Is Moss the same player he was in Minnesota?

"Given the opportunity to be myself and to make plays, a nine-year vet knowing that, no, I might not be able to do the things I used to do back in the day ... if you give me some help I'll show you something," he said.

even if moss wants back, childress is a guy who sticks to his guns and even if we need a player with talent like moss, i doubt we take him because of the character issues.

and for that, i say THANK GOD

I dont know what you're smoking, but in case you didnt know, Al Davis is the owner of the Raiders.
    Why does that matter?
He would never in a million years take a 2nd or 3rd rounder for a guy that he gave a 1st, 7th, and starting MLB for. Davis will be seeking at least a 1st rounder for Randy if he decides to shop him, despite his value dropping.

    Chuch.

    Randy doesn't have character issues,
he just lets his jaws go off without thinking sometimse. But heck I like it cause he tells it how it is. It's not like he is a distraction to the team too....my personal bet is that Moss has been frustrated from the start of the season in Oakland with how their offense was to be set up but decided to keep his mouth shut till now.

    so anyways...you wouldn't give up a 2nd or 3rd rounder for Moss?

I don't know if any of you saw NFL Live today, but Sean Salisbury blasted Moss after he made these statements.

Salisbury said he wouldn't even trade a 3rd or 4th rounder for Randy Moss.

And that Moss isn't even a top 15 WR in the NFL anymore.

    No character issues?
We forget the pot, the traffic incidents, the referee incident, the boorish behavior?
That is the definition of character issues.

Anyway, he will fit right in here.
1 catch for 8 yards this week.
    :
A superstar he was, not will be.
(oh here we go on whether pep made moss or moss made pep, watch!)

Moss would only be serviceable (nagging injuries and reduced talent aside) if he flied straight and played ball and shut his yap.
    Less talking, more concentrating.
Do remember how he told all you fans what he thought about you when he left, and it wasn't nice.

But an anemic offense makes us forgive all I do see.
Thats all I have to say ever on this point, so thanks for listening.
    Gotta hold Ethan now.
