    Re: T. Taylor to Oakland

I was expecting him to shine last year, in baltimore he was consistent, but nothing great.
Hopefully he can do well there.

    Or maybe not.

he was the only decent reciever we had last year.

I hope T Jackson can tuck the ball and run cause I have no idea who is gonna be passing the ball to this year.

So where do that leave us.

TT is in Oakland, and I keep my hopes high for the players currently on our team.
According to the PowerTrip Morning show this AM (heard it in the car radio, no links), Sydney Rice caught everything thrown his way yesterday, as did Bobby Wade.
Wade also split out wide on occasion, not always playing in the slot.

Todd Lowber, unfortunately, did not get a ball thrown at him.

A site I pay $$ for (so I can't post the article) says that Troy was still dropping alot of catchable balls.

I don't see what is wrong with admitting that our three most reliable receivers from last year are gone. That is just a fact. WR is a huge question mark. I was willing to trust TT a lot more than any of the guys on the current roster.

All we can do now is hope.

    Re: T. Taylor to Oakland

I have to say I am disappointed with this move.

Childress could have easily afforded him and it really leaves us with lack of reliable veteran experience.

I have been glad with the rookies, including the draft picks, (trying to give faith to T.Williamson), but think we will faulter if they are not 'shown the ropes' where needed, and the one area we need help is QB (rookie) to WR's (rookies).

You could even consider lack of 'veteran' at the TE position!

I wont lose sleep over this.

The only thing he has going for him is where he was drafted. Teams that are looking at him and saying well he was a first round pick maybe he just needs the right system........are living in fallacy land.....

i think teams expect a lot from him because of this, personally i would have liked to see him back, even if it was just for competition reasons.

Why don't you trust the current group of WR's?
    Is it thier youth?
Is it because they started on another team and we backups behind good players so you didn't know thier names?

Only one I see on that list that I don't trust is Troy.

    Help me out here.
Make me understand why we would make statements such as "I don't know who he will throw to?

Oh I guess you guys did not get the memo on that.........um yeah.......
The Vikings won't be using WR's this year.
That whole novelty of the foward pass was just a fade.
We're going with the Full House backfield and 4 TE's

    I liked TT.

I hope he is given a better shot at proving himself there than he was here.

    Good luck to ye!
