    Re: T-Jack vs Whitehurst

They just said on NFLN that TJ and Seattle came to terms and he will sign on Friday.

    I wish him luck.

I never thought he would get signed. He might have benefited the most from this lockout.

+1 Totally agree. I also wouldnt have suspected in a million years he would be the first FA QB to come off the board so to speak. Crazy!

Maybe Bevell and Pete Carroll are banking on his raised level of play versus the Cardinals (From '08) 2x/year, in the division

You know what's hilarious? TJ Doushmanzadeh chose Seahawks over Vikings because he wanted to go to a better QB situation and he was scared away after talking to Tarvaris on the phone according to some reports.

Now he may be forced to play with him. Ha! Take that asshole.
I am NOT here to provide good football insight or rational observations. I am an emotional 19 year old Viking fan and I expect you to adjust your expectations from my posts.

So lets start gathering data for the big decision.

The question is, if they do get to the playoffs this year with him under Center, will you then have to admit something to a certain someone and buy that certain someone some beers?hmy:

that would be the ultimate fail for Whitehurst, getting beaten for the job by Jackson. Time to hang up the boots if that happens.
Unless of course TJ comes in and lites it up.

Anyone remember who was rated higher, and drafted higher between these two?

    2006 1 1 3 3 Vince Young Titans Texas
    2 1 10 10 Matt Leinart Cardinals USC
    3 1 11 11 Jay Cutler Broncos Vanderbilt
    4 2 17 49 Kellen Clemens Jets Oregon
    5 2 32 64 Tarvaris Jackson Vikings Alabama State
    6 3 17 81 Charlie Whitehurst Chargers Clemson
    7 3 21 85 Brodie Croyle Chiefs Alabama
    8 5 15 148 Ingle Martin Packers Furman
    9 5 32 164 Omar Jacobs Steelers Bowling Green
    10 6 24 193 Reggie McNeal Bengals Texas A&M
    11 6 25 194 Bruce Gradkowski Buccaneers Toledo
    12 7 15 223 D.J. Shockley Falcons Georgia
From our good friends at drafthistory.com.

One was rated alot higher, one wasn't even heard of unless you were some draftnick that followed all the little rumors swirling about the draft.

One has actually done something in the league, one hasn't.

Both should have cemented their spots as starters in 09. Both were behind starters and weren't given a chance.

Both should have been winning games in 10. One was gehind a starter and wasn't given a chance, the other was and was still relegated to the bench.

Guess who I voted for. :P

Marr, TJ couldn't light things up if he was stood in front of a 'glow in the dark' lightswitch which was illuminated by a 10,000W searchlight and inside a power station :P

LOL, I hear ya my friend, ....Quick question, why was he the first player targeted by any team?

One would think that if he sucked that bad the GM (who knew him from his stint at the PUKERS0 and the O-coord (who supposedly lost his job over him) agreed with you they wouldn't have made it such a big priority to sign him based on the other talent they could have gone after.

Again, I hear ya, but it doesn't really track with reality now does it my friend.

So far, looking good for TJ. On a up and coming team. In a weak division. O-coord hes familiar with. Should win the starting job. Should get to the playoffs again.

Hell, so far its looking pretty good for me drinking free beers from my good friends EJ and Caine. LOL :woohoo:

He's still getting the nod over Whitehurst.
