Are you kiddin' me with Tarvaris Jackson? Are we talking about the same guy? What Pete Carroll sees in the former Viking is anyone's guess, because it sure can't be Fran Tarkenton. New and old teammate Sidney Rice thinks Jackson was never unleashed in Minnesota. Yes, that is correct. But it was only because Jackson couldn't make any of the throws. It wasn't anything major.

All I could think about was 2008, when former Vikings coach Brad Childress completely reined in his offense in an effort to not lose to the Eagles in the wild-card round. The Vikings took zero chances on offense, with no vertical strikes. T-Jax went 15 of 35. For everyone who thought Childress was asleep at the wheel, maybe it's because the car he was driving was a Ford Escort.

I still find it funny that everyone points to that game as the only reason why no one should even look at TJ.

First Playoff game. OL that was playing like a bunch of turnstyles. Defense that couldn't even stop a screen play.

And yet, given all that, the team was still in it until late in the 4th Qtr.

LOL.

They look at that game because it succinctly sums up Jackson's career in one shot - when he has to carry the team, he folds.

Look, TJ didn't look that bad nor did he look that great. Truth of the matter is he look just as good as the rest of the team, case in point, your beloved Birk and his turnstyle protections. Dude got owned so bad he snarted to make simple rookie mistakes like snapping the ball at the ground. How about Whinny basically getting sucked into the run on the screen play that put them ahead?

Those are little flaws that you have failed to "Defend" my friend.

You point out our stars lone mistake that game but defend the countless mistakes TJ made in that one game.

It's the same thing you did to the Colts lost from 2007 or 2008. Youblame the defense for letting Manning score 3 times in 7 mins but you don't point out that the shity offense, led by TJ himself...was unable to make a first down in those 7 mins. The damn defense had an int with 3 mins to go to seal the win and TJ couldn't do ish with it. Marr, i think you are an underdog kind guy, you like to root for the Rudy's of the world, which i admire. However, you ignore the plain and simple truth sometimes. TJ in Minn...was not a good Qb. TJ in Seattle, maybe.

At no time in ANY year have the majority blamed one single person for all the woes of the team. Tjack made the big plays down the stretch of the giants game. As you know, on the 2nd to last drive in the fourth qtr he threw 54 yard TD to make it a 1 score game.
On the final drive Tjack completed 4 of 5 passes to get into field goal range and get the win.
I'm curious how you will twist "comeback win for the division title" to "folding".

I'm pretty sure he never won a game with 30 or more attempts for passing and the word on the street is this is a passing league

And for those that say the defense has let him down how many time has the offense stalled with 3 and punt sending our defense back out on the field

Yes he has hit a few big plays but the long drives, clock consumers that weren't done on the legs of Chester and Adrian don't come to mind when you review the arm of Jackson, and he centainly didn't make teams pay with his rapid fire reads when the blitz was coming.

Oh, you mean that "come back" win against the Giants SCRUBS?

The Giants had nothing to play for, and it showed. Meanwhile, Jackson and the offense sputtered and misfired all game long until the Giants were so far down their depth chart that they were suiting up fans and putting them in...

Not really a good example of a "pro Jackson" moment...
