Re: T.J. Houshmandzadeh Cut and wants to be a Viking
I also read that Houshmandzadeh will probably sign for the veteran's minimum this season.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh looking at Raiders, Redskins
My guess is the raiders pass on him, he doesn't really match up with Al Davis's vision of speed and Al will call Troy Williamson insteadAfter getting cut by the Seahawks and spurned by the Vikings and Bengals, free agent wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh is now looking at the Raiders and Redskins.
Its a wonder to me that Al Davis can get anyone to play for him anymore.
Troy dropped the phone

Can't be playing for a Super Bowl contender, cus the Vikes are better than Skins or Raiders
My guess is Chilly told him he would be the #3 receiver behind BB and Harvin.

Really a head scratcher. Rice gone for who knows how long. Percy, as much as I like him, is a headache away from not playing. We lose Taylor who was a good receiver out of the back field. Walker isn't kept. TJ lands right in your lap and you turn him away.Well that was fun...

At the same time we keep Jimmy and Dugan who are redundant.
Some of the moves the front office makes leaves one wondering what are they thinking. Outside of the defensive line and linebacker group I don't understand what they are thinking.

I don't think they really had a shot at Housh or he didn't want to be #3 for now and #4 when Sid returns.marstc09 wrote:

I imagine they will bring back Walker after the first game so his salary isn't guarenteed for the season. Also, might raise Payne at some point as Chilly did say he would like to have a younger player.
I think the whole migraine thing is blown out of proportion, as he had the same problem last year and missed 1 game.
From what I saw in the preseason AD has improved his pass catching and Gerhart looke very comfortable. What is up in the air more is pass blocking from the RB.
Also, I think keeping Klieny and Dugan was to be able to provide more protection for Favre. Helping out McK with speed rushers.
My biggest issue is with the OL, don't really have a legit backup at LT. Seeing Cook at that position makes me ill. I imagine they would move Load their and Cook to RT. Which makes me ill still. Degeare played tackle in college so maybe he will become an option.
