As I just said in another thread, I thought we would have another big thread going on this as I saw on the NFLN ticker last night that he was gonna get suspended for the first four games.

Sure wish the commish would get off his jiggly butt and do something.
I for one would like to see it happen early and get it over with instead of halfway through the season.
No way will it be 4 games - not after Brandon Marshall just had his reduced to 1.
I hope you are right my friend.
When have I ever been wrong?

Yeah, that worked out so bad for Pacman Jones.

Smart people (of any color) don't normally put themselves into situations where they can't reasonably control the outcomes.
McKinnie should have not put himself in that situation.
Similarly, Pacman's resumption of visiting strip clubs (as rumored) will no doubt end up badly.
That's just stupid, stubborn and ignorant of him (and color has nothing to do with that foolish decision).

Well, I think that McKinnie's reaching for the "Pretrial Diversion Program" includes some admission of guilt.
Its like, Yeah, I fucked up, and I'm doing this to correct it and make sure it does not happen again!

But, that also, should bode well for the length of the suspension...IF he's getting the counseling and doing the programs pointed out for him, then he should get a bit of a benefit of the doubt.
Fact is, he has gotten most of his charges dropped over the years, and the Love Boat incident was before Goodell's term...supposedly, players aren't going to be punished for what happened before...?

There should be NO suspensions, only fining of game checks.
Why should fans suffer for the stupidity of individual players?
Besides, if Belichick got only fined instead of suspended, why should any players be suspended?

What is the explanation on why he wasn't suspended? Just curious.

    Re: "Suspensions Are Coming"

If I am a GM of my team and I have a player that may be facing suspension.. I would rather have it happen at the beginning of the year than mid year.. you have many more options at your disposal if the league deals with the issue now instead of 6 games in.

I am sure the NFL has done the background investigation on each case, Jolly's included, and will pass down their rulings based on their findings in the matter. This isn't a court of law, bad PR is the mandate in which the NFL is going to utilize.. if a player is guilty in their eyes and has had a couple different brushes.. I am sure they will face some type of punishment.

The good news... is if recent activity is any judge of the length of the suspensions, they seem to be tailing shorting instead of longer. Shall be interesting.
