    Super Bowl Heading To London?

Our friends in England have pointed out to us a report suggesting that talks are underway to send the Super Bowl to London.

Re: Super Bowl Heading To London?

I am really against the idea of having a Super Bowl played in London, or any other foreign country for that matter. I don't mind having a few games a year played in various countries, but the biggest sporting event of the year? Not a good idea in my opinion. First of all, who is going to fill the stadium? How many people from England honestly know enough about American football to even give a flying crap about the Super Bowl? I really have no idea, maybe I'm way off. I don't really think it is fair to fans in America. If you look at situations like when Nodak was fortunate enought to be a part of 2 years ago when he had the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl, how many people would be able to do that if the game was played in a different country? If you get the once in a lifetime opportunity to buy tickets, something that may never happen to you again, you shouldn't have to miss that because you don't want to have to get a passport and pay for airline tickets to London.

    I don't know I guess, that's just my opinion.

    Well said man!

Iam Canadian, but I completely agree the only country the Superbowl should be played in is the States

If it does happen it would honestly have the draw of the Pro-Bowl. Try tht in London if the NFL is wanting to do something different with the Pro Bowl

Do you think it would be easier to get tickets or harder?

I think it would be cool to show London that Football is the Best Sport Ever.

If the pro bowl was in london, even less players would go.

Having the superbowl any where but in america would be so weird. IMO it should always be in america somewhere so more of the people you want to be there will be there. all the guest that NFLn had on set this year was amazing. I would not want to give up that.

American sports need to stay in America.

If the Brits want to see American football live, we are just a plane ticket away.

Why fly our teams & players there? That's just inviting terrorist or other attacks.

Remember what happened to Ted Cottrell's kid when he was in Europe?

Just as hard if not harder.
You always hear of those games selling out in minutes when we have the regular season games over there.

If this happens, I will be very upset.
    Keep our sports in America.
The draw and the hype, at least from a US standpoint will go way down.

Who cares were the game is played.........

Most of the people who attend it are rich enough that they will travel to Arizona or London.
And for the rest of us, it will be broadcast on our beloved TV's.

Hell, they might even do something outlandish like give us some background on the host country.
    Call it a lesson.
