Streaking Texans reach milestones
Quote:
The Vikings’ next opponent, the Houston Texans, is on a roll as it begins preparations to come to Minnesota. The Texans finally found some success on defense Sunday and are riding a franchise-record three-game winning streak.

Like I preached in my last post in the "looking ahead" thread. I think Mr. Schaub and Andre Johnson is going to pick our defense apart real bad. I hope we can bring alot of pressure!

The Texans had given up 15 touchdowns on 16 previous trips into the red zone this season. The lone time they made a red-zone “stop†was when the Jacksonville Jaguars
That pretty much sums up their defense.
This is a bad team. There 3 wins are against Miami(3-4), Detroit(0-7), and Cincinatti(0-8) all at home. On the road they are 0-3 and have been outscored 99-56 giving up 30 plus in every game. If this game were in Houston I would be worried but at home I am confident in the Vikings getting back to .500 and and getting ready for the second half of the season.

You're tellin me
;D
In all seriousness, the Texans played a TOUGH road schedule to open up the season @PIT, @TEN, and @JAX with their bye coming in week freakin 2 due to Hurricane Ike.
I'm worried about the Vikings defensive line.
I think this is one of those times where having smaller linemen on the interior is really going to hamstring our running game which has been up and down.
Expect that Houston will do a lot of short to intermediate passes to open up running lanes (We figured out we should do this during the Jacksonville game, the one that went to overtime).
As far as the Vikings offense, I'm really only worried about Peterson.
I know Berrian can get behind a defense quick, but Visanthe Shiancoe is a ball dropping freak.
Usually TE's absolutely kill the Texans, but we haven't had to play a team with a real good TE since Pittsburgh, so I'm anxious to see what they do.
