Strahan to retire

Coming off Super Bowl win, Strahan to retire

by Jay Glazer, FOXSports.com June 9, 2008,

The New York Giants will begin their road to a defense of their Super Bowl title when mini-camp begins on Wednesday. That defense, however, will be attempted without the services of their team leader, Michael Strahan.

Couldn't agree more.

exactly.
Strahan could have easily played this season if he wanted, he clearly still had some juice left in him, but he's a smart man and knows when its time to hang up the hat.
Besides its not like he's leaving the team out to dry, they've got some strong young DE's to fill his shoes.

Amazing player, I'm sure we'll see him around the networks for years to come

He's one of the few players I actually enjoy listening to on sports shows.

That means Strahan and Lord Favre will go into the hall together.

I wonder who else will make it?

Warren Sapp....just so he and Strahan can run onto the stage and crush Favre while he is at the podium

Warren will need a head start though

Now he can spend more time with Tiki since they are both out of the league. I bet they will be on the front porch swinging and talking about the old days for a long time to come.
