    Strahan to do a Favre:Unretire?

Source: Michael Strahan would consider returning for $8 million

    http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/2008/08/24/2008-08-24_source_michael_strahan_would_consider_re.html

Michael Strahan was vacationing in Greece Sunday when the news broke that his old friend Osi Umenyiora was lost for the season. But he would consider ending his vacation and coming out of retirement if the Giants really want him back, the Daily News has learned.

According to a source close to the future Hall of Famer, all it would take to get the 37-year-old Strahan to end his 77-day retirement would be $8 million and a few kind words. If the Giants made a "sincere" effort to lure him back, the source said, it was "not out of the question" that Strahan could opt out of his contract with Fox and be wearing his old No. 92 jersey when Giants begin their Super Bowl title defense at Giants Stadium on Sept. 4.

I love this guy, and to see him more, he should stay retired because of his TV gig. He will have just as much fun off the field as he did off, so he will not miss the game as much as favre will (or would have).

Also, he only has one more year in him, at the most, anyways. He is going to the hall of fame and without favre, there is one less guy for him to deal with in competition with the board

Strahan and Sapp would make a great TV team...

I was surprised how well Sapp did on TV. When he interviewed Taylor it was really interesting. I don't care about his attitude, I have always like SApp.

He does possess a certain camera presence and charisma.
His fantasy football commercials are funny.
Wonder if that is really his Hispanic housekeeper?

Strahan unretiring is not like Favre at all, in that Strahan's team actually wants him back.

+1, and for unselfish reasons... he's helping his team out.

And for a lot of money. But definetly not in the same club as Favre and Chris Carter, that is a club reserved solely for those with egos so big they keep playing even after no one wants them.
