David Jacobs, a convicted steroids dealer from Plano, Tex., provided documentary evidence to N.F.L. officials on Wednesday that his lawyer said tied several players to the use of performance-enhancing drugs.

UPDATE: Jacobs was one of those found dead at the scene. A woman named Amanda Jo Earhart-Savell and a gun were also found at the scene according to the Dallas Morning News.

After his sentencing, Jacobs told The New York Times that he hoped to tell league officials about "loopholes in their program." He also said he'd advised about 10 players to use finasteride, a drug to treat balding, because it masks steroid use.

With NFL players standing to lose millions of dollars if they are suspended, I'm betting they will all be considered suspects in the death.

The latest rumor is that Jacobs was supplying half of the Pats with steroids and that the Pats brass had Jacobs "silenced".
