Is he really that missed in that area?
I'd take him over Charles Gordon.

    Congrats MeMo!
It's always nice to see a run-of-the-mill, subpar RB have a nice day every once in a while.

lol don't think so Marr. The issue is that a few felt that he was never given an extended chance here to show what he could do - as the odd games when he did play at RB were reasonably good. However thats the way it goes and at least now he has a chance to show what he can do, even though he'll drop back down the Steelers depth chart once the other RBs are fit again.

Anyway he got me 36 fantasy points for one of my teams Sunday so I'm not complaining
    ;D
the only person who really misses him is VQ and that's only because she has less than honourable intentions towards him

LOL, I wish I had him. Hell I gambled on the guy he replaced to actually play cause I didn't have anybody better and couldn't let anyone go.

By the way, Memo got lots of chances.

Memo was always in the Tice doghouse,
    and when Chilly came in,
he was always in his doghouse...you have to wonder what was the really the deal with MeMo...was it something besides injuries?

I've think I know that one.

Do a google and search by his name and pass blocking.
You will find alot of stuff from Tice about his inability to pass block.

Well that makes more sense than not being able to stay healthy.

I always thought he was pretty good

From what I remember he was in for most of our 3rd downs because he was decent at blocking

I remember him whiffing a few though.. So idk.. Youre probably right!

I puzzled over it alot and actually provided alot of links to what the local sports hacks had with respect to quotes from Tice.

If memory serves he actually stated one time that he was gonna give Memo another chance after Bennett went down even though he was bad at pass blocking. (Not an exact quote there my friends)

Talk about throwing a guy under the bus.

Found a url, not the one I was looking for (That one came the next year) but close........

    http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/arti.../641970-p.html

He really has worked hard on his pass protection, (evident) yesterday taking Keith Newman down the middle," Tice said. "Not something he would have done three weeks ago. So he is a very diligent young man. He wants to do well for himself, his family and for his teammates and coaches."
    Edit.

Still can't find the one I'm looking for but this one has a snippet in it as well.....

While Moore also provided a big boost in the passing game with 90 receiving yards, the coaches made a concerted effort to simplify the pass-blocking schemes.
