Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Heinz Field has been rated the worst grass playing field in the National Football League in a poll of 1,498 players conducted this past season. The players gave Heinz Field the second-worst ranking among the 19 grass fields in the NFL, however the New England Patriots' home field, Gillette Stadium, was converted to FieldTurf before the end of the season, leaving the Steelers' surface as the worst.

Teams that play outside in a cold whether climate should be expected to have bad fields.
I think New England cheated for putting in feld turf, footballs is supposed to be layed in the mud.

Ummmm hate to correct you but mud is not the official playing surface lol ..... I believe Its this stuff called grass or an artifical surface named field turf.....lol
