    NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) -- Sports agent Leigh Steinberg was arrested early Friday on suspicion of drunken driving after authorities said he crashed his Mercedes into three parked cars and knocked over a fire hydrant.

    Steinberg, 58, was driving on the Pacific Coast Highway around 1 a.m. when he swerved his sports utility vehicle into the parked cars and over the curb, police Lt. Craig Fox said.

    Television reports showed moderate damage to the parked cars, skid marks along the sidewalk and the damaged fire hydrant.

    Fox said Steinberg provided a blood sample and was taken to jail. The agent was later released on his own recognizance.

    On Friday, Steinberg issued a statement taking responsibility for the incident, calling it "a serious error in judgment."

    Such a wrecklass decision!
    Guess the $20 cab fare was just too much for the Superagent to pony up!
    I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.
