Re: Sporting News Top Veteran Safeties
How could anyone not think Ed Reed is in the top spot? He flys to the ball.. Is a turn over machine and a hitting machine.. However I think this top 5 is better...
1. Reed
2. Polamalu
3. Williams
4. Dawkins
5. Harrison

Re: Sporting News Top Veteran Safeties
Ed Reed was the best last season....but the best in the league....I dunno bout that. Everybody makes a huge deal outta Ed Reed, but he's only had 1 good year, it just so happens that it was a great year. My vote for #1 would go to Marvin Harrison...Michael Lewis for the Eagles is NOT in front of Sharper! Otherwise I think they got the right guys in the Top 15, just not in the right order.

Re: Sporting News Top Veteran Safeties
I don't think the list is THAT bad. Up front, they've got it down pretty well. But look who they have in front of Chavous. Jerome Woods?? And there's no way Mike Minter should be ahead of Chavous. The other problem I have is that they ranked Darius at #7. Although I agree that he does have the edge on Chavous, he is not that much better. If Chavous is 29, then Darius should be 25 or something.

Thanks PPE for the sig.
