yep there's less chance of Al Davies not needing diapers any more than Jones staying out of the FA limelightSchefter points out that with the Jets presumably out of the picture only the Cowboys remain as an obvious suitor. The problem: Jerry Jones has said Dallas won't be active in signing big-named players this off-season, although I don't think many people would be shocked if those talking points changed in the coming days.Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

They need to put a LOT of money into Demarcus Ware.
The fact he turned down an 84 million dollar deal and that Haynesworth got 100 million points to a tough situation there

Re: It Sounds Like Ray Lewis Won't Return to Baltimore Ravens
Jets might be getting screwed by Ravens' LB Bart Scott.
From the Jets forum:
Quote:
Scott reportedly gives Ravens chance to match
February 27, 2009
Bart Scott is making the Jets sweat it out.
Scott's agent and the Jets have agreed in principle on a five-year contract worth roughly $40 million, but Scott has called Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome to give his old/current team a chance to match, according to a league source.
Late last night, before the start of free agency, the Ravens offered about $37.5 million over five, including $24 million in the first three years - an $8 million-a-year average that would equal what the Jets are offering over the length of the deal.
It's believed that Scott still is at the Jets' facility. If he jilts the Jets, it would conjure up memories of the Antoine Winfield dusting in 2004.
Earlier today, the agent, Harold Lewis, told me he had agreed to the basic parameters of a deal with the Jets, but that he was waiting for Scott's okay - still waiting, I suppose.Any man who afflicts the human race with ideas must be prepared to see them misunderstood. - H.L. Mencken

Re: It Sounds Like Ray Lewis Won't Return to Baltimore Ravens
Thanks for the read Proph.
Judging by what I read this weekend, he and his agent greatly over estimated the market value of Ray which lead me to believe we would have seen him sign with Baltimore sometime today.Because as it stands, the Ravens have all the leverage. A scenario, no doubt, Ray never considered. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
