Some comments on DE play
I was browsing through the stats pages today (go figure) and I saw some names on the list that suprised me and some that weren't on the list that didn't suprise me.
On the list.......
a.
Kendall Langford.
I watched him quite a bit yesterday.
Very solid game.
Sure would have liked to see him in purple and gold.
b.
Mario. Although not that big of a suprise, it appears he is going to start out were he left off.
c. Laboy.
I am still amazed at his production vs his size.
Just goes to show that a tweener, used in the right place, can/will get it done.
That DL is something to take a close look at this year IMHO.
d. Justin Smith.
Maybe it wasn't him but rather the scheme in Bengal land.
Not on the list......
a.
Peppers. I am sure all of his supporters will try to convince us that he was more focused on stuff LT instead of the QB, however, that doesn't explain that he only had a assist for a tackle with no sacks and no solo tackles......
b. Kevin Carter.
Maybe he should have retired.
Appears 14 years is to many.
c.
Jared Allen.
No explanation necessary.
:'(
:'(
:'(
Anyone else have any others to add?
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

Re: Some comments on DE play
Maybe this will be the year of season ending knee injuries and the DE slamming the QB every second play.
We're bringing purple back.

Re: Some comments on DE play
It is somewhat difficult to get pressure when your LB core couldnt cover a one legged midget.
If you promise to be smarter, I will promise to be nicer.
My posts are worth 6 of yours.

I think they tried to blitz with the LB'rs a bit much in this one and got caught with thier shorts down when the supsect OL for the PUKERS picked it up.
Sad sight to see my friend.
(By the way, nice to see ya around and Cook WILL be a good/above avg RT).Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

He should adjust eventually if given time, he is vunerable to bull rushing bigger DE and I think that will show in the coming weeks."Del" wrote:

I hear ya my friend, but from a scheme standpoint, isn't that (Bigger DE/LB) why a TE typically lines up on that side?"Marrdro" wrote:
