I think Wilf will move up the rankings once he starts developing all the land he is buying right now. If Wilf picks good football mines to run the team and just focuses on what he does best(land developing) the organization will be in good hands.
True...and he has only been an NFL owner for 2 seasons now.
You have to cut him some slack.
    He's learning on the fly.

    On a side note...Welcome back.
I trust your migrane has improved some.

Um, Smoot plays for Washington now.
And McCombs isn't looking good to anybody.
I assume he's reffering to Bryant McKinnie.
That is probably who he ment, but I would save "the prime organizer" title for the person who organized it, paid for most of it, chartered the boats, etc.
The author was just looking for a line to use.
Who cares if it was accurate or not, it is just journalism, right?
I am pretty sure Wilf never "vowed" to release the love boat players anyways.
He did say he would punish them and hold ALL his players responsible for their actions though.
This guy is just spinning things he vaguely remembers to fit his opinion.

He sure doesn't like Wilf the way it sounds. Funny he didn't mention all the Hoodlums Jones "hires."

    McCombs not LOONY???
    WTF is this guy thinking!

I happen to know that he is still up to no good out here in CO!!

Got so fired up I had to send him some thoughts, figured I'd share them with you guys.

I think you would be hard pressed to find a single Vikings Fans who prefers McCombs in the slightest!!
He is a cheap, (probably senile) arrogant bastard of a used car salesmen who drug our team through the dirt for about a decade by under funding our team's players, coaches, facilities and equipment!!
We were annually about 30 mill under the cap, and always needed help (usually on Defense.)
Every coach was also a position coach, working double time, a total staff of only about 10 underpaid coaches!
There were several coordinators of other teams making more than our whole staff combined!!
Now, Wilf has hired assistants for nearly everyone, I think they've got around 25 coaches altogether.
The offices and training facilities have been repaired and updated.
When the talent was there (last season’s FA) they added some premiere players in Steve Hutchinson, Chester Taylor, Ben Leber and Tony Richardson!!
All six of last year’s draft picks saw playing time last year and look to contribute more in the next!

And then there is the off field antics.
Red’s tightwad ways led to Tice’s scalping AND the signing of cheaper players with character (or other) issues.
This led to all sorts of distractions, and embarrassing incidents.
In my mind, the stadium situation is a direct result of McComb’s cheapness and general overall bad attitude toward the state.
Smoot, who most of us understand to be the “love boat” instigator, is in fact, no longer with the team.
Neither are Moss or Daunte, the big time, me-first players that used to be the focus of our team.
In two years they have built a young team with the work ethic to play better than they are, and stay out of trouble.
Unfortunately, Minnesotan’s won’t forget the Ole and Lena type antics of a few more years back as swiftly, but a clean, winning season would certainly help!

    whatever.

any owner would struggle in the minnesota mess.

fortunately online owner rankings don't matter at all.
