    Sims fined $7.5K for Hasselbeck hit

    The Detroit Free Press reports the NFL fined Detroit Lions LB Ernie Sims $7,500 for his hit on sliding Seattle QB Matt Hasselbeck during the team's Week 1 game. Sims said Friday, Sept. 15, he would be more careful with sliding quarterbacks in the future but wouldn't lose any of his trademark aggressiveness.
