Buccaneers | Simms excited about Boston addition

Roy Cummings, of the Tampa Tribune, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Chris Simms is excited about the addition of WR David Boston to the team. "It's great to have him here," Simms said of Boston, who signed a free agent contract with the Bucs Wednesday, May 24. "It definitely gives us another downfield threat. I mean, if you put Joey (Galloway) on one side and David Boston on the other, it's going to make defenses think about who they want to cheat their safeties to in coverage. We really have a lot of speed at receiver now." In reality, though, it is way too soon to suggest that Boston will provide the Bucs with a deep threat to complement Galloway.

David Boston has all the talent in the world. This is a guy who can't seem to stay on the field for any length of time.

Since when is David Boston fast enough to be a deep threat, the guy has had so many problems with his knee, I'm surprised he can run.

Stallion you hit it right on the head! Boston has not been a deep threat for 4 years and unless he makes a huge turnaround he will not be again.

In 2004 he did not play a game, and in 2005 he played in 4 games. I would not count on him to be a savior, they may get 30 receptions out of him but I would not expect more than that.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.
