(Apparently, someone bought Carroll an espresso machine for his 60th birthday.)

Rice struggled with a hip injury in Minnesota last year, and he will have now missed 1/8th of the 2011 season, “unless something goes crazy here in the next day in our travel if he can just get healed.”

Barring the presence of Mr. Miyagi and/or E.T. on the team’s charter to Pittsburgh, it’s safe to say Rice won’t be playing.

I can't wait to watch this trainwreck play the Steelers this week. Especially because the Steelers are so pissed off about last week's loss to the Ravens. Karma is a bitch Seattle. You deserve every bit of this.

Seriously glad we did not overpay for a player who clearly cannot stay on the field.

I was obviously upset about losing him at first. But I am so happy about the decision now. He was a one-hit wonder. Sidney and Ray are both making the Vikings look very good about their decisions to pass on them this offseason.

So far this regular season, Rice has caught just as many passes as Berrian has.

Berrian's inability to get open & catch passes was one of the reasons McNabb was only 7-15 for 39 yards

I'd rather have a player on the field not making catches but still contributing in other ways by providing downfield blocks and the threat, however minor, of a catch at some point. Berrian is infinitely more useful than Rice is when his injured ass is out.

Rice missed 10 games last year & he still contributed more to the Vikings in the remaining 6 games than Berrian did all year.

Doesn't suprise me one bit. Favre's '09 season made Rice. Best of luck putting up those kind of numbers with TJack at the helm. But thanks for the memories in '09, especially blowing up the Cowgirls in the playoffs!
