Sidney Rice..
..placed on season ending IR.
@AdamSchefter
Pete Carroll said Seahawks will place WR Sidney Rice on injured reserve today.
Poor ol "one season" done for the year, SHOCK ..
Even more convinced now not paying him what he thought he was worth was the right thing to do.

I agree totally. As much as I have hacked on the front office, they got it right when they decided to let him walk. Same with the QB they let go to the Seahawks.

he can take his paycheck while sitting at home. he's been incredibly injury prone his whole career. He has the potential to be an incredible player but he just can't stay on the field.

They sucked with him, and they can't suck much more without him, but he does seem rather fragile. I get the feeling he's that type of guy that would rather be on the sidelines collecting a paycheck anyway.

He can look so good at times on the field, but he is frail. I am glad we did not overpay for him like the Seahawks did. He has had hip, shoulder, knee, concussion problems, etc. It is CONSTANT with this guy.

I'm glad we replaced him with a WR that could out play him, stay on the field & wouldn't wind up on IR.
Oh wait! We didn't.

Now word comes from the Seattle Times that Rice has just had surgery to fix the injury that derailed him at the start of the season. It remains unclear why it took so long for Rice to go under the knife. Hmmm delaying action to correct and injury ... where have we seen this before ........
