He is quite obviously the most valuable player in the league to his team. They went from playoffs to 0 wins. Pretty steep dropoff.
Can you tell me how he is valuable this year? What is he doing THIS YEAR that is valuable to the Colts.

No, but I'd have him ahead of McNabb and T-Jack in the voting. J/K

Because I thought this was a joke thread at first.

MVP if he manages to lead the Colts to the #1 overall pick, solidifying their future for yet another 15 years.

Ha ha I never thought about it in this way. It would be hilarious if Peyton Manning got it.

OK PEOPLE THIS ISN'T A JOKE. THERE ARE MORONS OUT THERE THAT THINK HE TRULY DESERVES IT. Ok I'm not actually mad, but I just feel there is no basis for him to win the award. And are you serious Marshal? So we don't have to base it on recent play? Well then why the hell doesn't Chris Johnson win it? He played great a couple years ago and the Titan's aren't doing that great without him. What about Dan Marino for the Dolphins? They really suck this year. That must prove how valuable Marino was to them. If you can't base it on this years play then the award has lost all merit. As will happen if Manning gets it this year.

    Peyton doesn't play defense.

His absence could clearly explain the reason the offense is sucking, but not the reason the defense is sucking.

It almost seems as if they aren't giving fourth a lot of effort in an attempt to win the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. There are already trade rumors regarding trading Peyton if they do get Luck.

    I haven't watched Indy's games, but giving up 62 points? C'mon!

Also how does an OL that's blocked so well for Peyton in previous years all of a sudden start sucking & allow that many defenders past it to block a punt in the endzone? Has their OL personnel changed too?

I'm going to laugh my arse off when or if Luck turns into the bust of the century. Priceless...
