Should Peyton get the MVP?
It seems there are people out there that believe that Peyton Manning should win the MVP award for how bad the Colts are doing this year, thinking that it proves without Peyton, they are horrible, therefore he is the MVP. I disagree with this completely. How in the world is he the MVP this year while he's sitting on the sidelines? What is he doing this year to be valuable to his team!? NOTHING.
Now, if you'd like to argue that his injury proves he should've won in in past years, go ahead and make that case. But to say that he deserves it this year is a joke. If AP broke his femur and was out for a year, would he be valuable to us? NO. These idiots out there that think Peyton should win the MVP are on crack. Like I said, he isn't valuable to his team this year. He's just a worthless, injured player. Sure he may help Painter and the coaches some, but answer me this. Is Peyton doing more to help his team THIS year than say, Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady?I am NOT here to provide good football insight or rational observations. I am an emotional 19 year old Viking fan and I expect you to adjust your expectations from my posts.

I have not seen anybody actually say this other than in a joking manner. Have any links?

My brother in law and I have decided that they should retroactively award Manning the MVP award for all past years where he didn't win it (except for his rookie year), and we might even be half serious when we say that. However, you're right. He is not being valuable to his team this year.

Absolutely should not get it, but it does go to show just how valuable he is to the success of that team.
I'd imagine this will be remembered if he has another near-MVP calibre season.

MVP = Most Valuable PLAYER. He's not playing. End of story.

My Meeple is purple. What color is yours?

He is injured for a reason. The team is not that good and his monster salary is keeping them from getting quality players around him. It isn't like. They would have 7 wins if he was playing. Probably a few more but it takes more than him to change things around

It has been a few analysts but mostly posters like us out there saying he should get it. Not everyone, but they are there.
