Re: Several Unexpected Teams are 2–0, but Are They for Real?

I have to admit that the Bears look pretty good. I really like the way that we found a way to win both games. I think the Bears have a nasty surprise coming this weekend! The respect will come after this weekend!

I honestly believe the Saints arre for real. Not b/c they the greatest show in a 'frozen tundra' -- my packers-- but, b/c they just seem pretty solid.
Baltimore Ravens? I think they're wildcardish, if ya know what I mean. They look like they can definately go 8-8, make the post for a first round, but nothing title-headed.
Minnesota Vikings? I not gonna go so far as to say they're for real, but I will say they do appear legit (i.e. to maintain this overall successful swagger they have). I'm not predicting a 16-0 (can't b/c I already said Bears might just take 'em out this coming Sunday...dang! this game should've been a monday nighter, eh?!), but I can definately see somewhere around the 12-4 mark.

    thevikingfan,
I'm not thrilled about my prediction on the vikes either (but, I can't help it...they seem to be headed in that direction). Are you not glad of a possible 12-4 (winning) season for your beloved Vikes?

Most 2-0 teams have played bad teams, Chargers, Bears, and the Saints have all played 0-2 teams.

We played one team that was widely picked as super bowl champs, and another playoff team, so if you ask me, even if it wasn't in impressive fashion, we had bettter wins.

The Vikings have been the worst of the 2–0 teams so far. Both wins were essentially ties — decided by just two or three plays that happened to go Minnesota's way. In the final quarter against Washington, the Vikings benefited from two facemask penalties, an unnecessary roughness call, and John Hall's missed field goal that would have sent the game to overtime. This week, Carolina was leading by a touchdown, then absurdly called a trick lateral play on a punt return, resulting in a fumble that gave the Vikings the ball just 21 yards from the game-tying touchdown, which they scored on a fluke play themselves, a 16-yard touchdown pass thrown by kicker Ryan Longwell on a fake field goal. This is how an average team wins games, not a great team, and the Vikings won't beat undefeated Chicago this week if their game plan is to wait for the Bears to make similar mistakes.
Fluke is not the right word.

I can see where he is coming from, but a play that was designed, worked on, and is executed is not a fluke, it is perfection.
It would have been nice if he would have just said we were opportunistic in our victories.
Exactly. They make it sound like these plays are drawn up in the sand.

Ok i understand why they might be sceptical about the panthers win.if it wasnt for that laterall we would have probably lost 13-6 but i dont c why they have to try and take away from the redskins win.Even when they we lining up for the game tying field goal it shouldnt have been for the tie at all.We missed a field goal and an extra point so technically we should have won 20-16!What we did was outplay the redskins and nobody should take away from that
