Scout.com - 2009 Mock Draft - Vikings have a lousy spot - which is great!

    http://profootballexperts.scout.com/2/752283.html

I can't cut and paste anything from this, not text based, but this mock has the Vikings picking 28th in next-year's draft.
The selection is some dude named "Percy Harvin" a WR/Return Specialist from Florida.

So - that means either they had the best record in the NFC, and lost the NFC championship to the Cowboys, or they have the 2nd-best record in the NFC and did not make the Super Bowl.

    Is it September yet?

    =Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

don't know this guy but not liking it.

rather went with Al woods who is a bigger need then a receiver/somebody for special teams...
    Rosie O'Donnell is a dude!

id love for us to have that late of a pick and to get Harvin, it would add a "reggie" like weapon at WR, it would be interesting to see him and AD on the field at the same time

Pissing on the Pack since 08'

In general I hate those small receivers, but I think we could use a Hester-esque type player who can return kicks, and just be a utility playmaker on plays like receiver screens, reverses, etc. However I think those types of players are better suited for the second round. If you are going to burn a first round pick on a receiver, I would hope it would be on an every down type of player who can develop into a long term starter.

I would much rather see us get a TE like Chase Coffman or Travis Beckum (assuming Shiancoe doesn't step it up this year).

I might have my red blinders on but I would love to see this guy on our team. He is a beast for Wisconsin.

    Everyone is missing the point.
WHO the Vikings pick is immaterial.

THAT they are picking 28th means they kicked ass in 2008.

I know Zeus but I will believe it when I see it. I know we can be the elite team in the NFC but I don't want to get my hopes up yet.
