Re: Scoring control policy?
That's crazy, a lot of high school teams win by 50 or more.
Suspension is stupid.

Re: Scoring control policy?
that isnt cool at all. this year our high school team won a game 56-0 and we had alot that we won by 50 or more. and our junior varsity was in starting the 3rd quarter.
that is just totally unfair because sometimes the only way to not score would just be to punt it away when you get the ball lol. this is really stupid and if they really do that i would be mad"God has blessed me tremendously. I'd be a fool to complain."

Re: Scoring control policy?
Thats just because your coach runs the score up.
Like when we put our freshman in the game and he put BACK IN his varsity...
Next year though.

This is just another example of the "pussification" of America.
You suck if you lose by 50 or more, so get better! Stop whining! Practice! Do something to improve your team, but shut the fuck up!

Re: Scoring control policy?
Sometimes I like watching a rout! As long as the team I am going for is winning. This last fall we went to a game in my wifes hometown. They were really good. With 5 minutes left in the half the score was like 54-0. The score ended up being 72-0. They run the clock in the second half. It was fun to watch.
I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it!!

Re: Scoring control policy?
I think that is a stupid rule. Just let the kids play. We have a rule around here that if your up by 30 in the second half than it is a running clock so the game gets over quicker. When you are up by that much you jv is in by that point and they want to try and score some points. It is dumb if you have to tell them you can't score.
