    Re: Same "OLE PEPPER"

Dude (Modena11), Chill out! Do you have some kind of man luv for Pep? It's just people stating the truth (he did not want to be a Viking). If anything, you should be mad at Pep for this. Just look back at how he handled everything. It was very obvious that he had no love for the Vikings. He can't read a defense, which in turn burned him when it was time to read his contract. The guy agreed on a contract, that his agent mush have know, would never be paid out. There's no need to start swearing, this just makes you look like the one with no class!

He can't read a defense dude, that is fact. I have watched him all seven years...Maybe you are just as blind as he is? When he throws into triple coverage and there is someone wide open what do you call it?
You are annoying and it's obvious you took him for your fantasy team or something.......You wine worse than a little kid does.....

Like I said " Huge upside....Will never win the BIG ONE and CAN NOT READ A DEFENSE

    :'( cry some more

i do have love for culpepper. he was and is still a favourite player of mine.

i have absolutely no problem with the fact he is gone. he didn't want to be in minnesota and the coaching staff didn't want him. so they split.

both will be better off and i wish him well. we will be fine without him. both parties get a second chance.

and what truth? if the man couldn't read a defence, why is he playing in the nfl? if the man couldn't read a defence, how did he become one of the best QB's in the league?

people that don't see the game as what it is and watch as a conventional fan. hey, he's doing great, i absolutely love him, to oh he's doing terrible, i hate him and "he can't read defences".

    Re: Same "OLE PEPPER"

he started out fine, he played really well early on when it came to getting rid of the ball on time while staying in the pocket with defenders running in his face, in that essense, he was the good, "same old dante"

then he threw the picks (and near pick) and showed us last years "same old dante"

he'll do fine this year.. but im not regreting the trade at all

i guess it is same old daunte.

plays well early and builds a lead with no running game. then defence continues to give up big plays, especially in the secondary. daunte comes on field late in the game and tries to make big plays and throws INT's into zone's because the defence is playing pure pass because the run is no threat.

as vikings fans, we are very used to this scenario.

    same ol daunte.

Modena11 : I am not the "Conventional Fan. I do not say hey he is playing great or he is playing terrible.
(Nor do I want him to get hurt) He throws the deep ball better than most QB's and he can Thank R. MOSS for most of his success. He is talented no doubt.

When I say he can't read Defenses, that's exactly what I mean. Now we "NON Conventional"Fans that played football and grew up all around it know a Nickel, Dime, 3-4 and 4-3 and etc. We understand that teams hide and disguise their packages and what they are playing. PEP has Major troubles making decisions under pressure, and if you give him pressure he thinks it's their even when it's not and will still make mistakes. (Hence the last 5 min tonight)
The guy didn't see Porter, He completely missed Chambers in the Endzone (Play were D-back almost picked it going OB) and I have watch him for years when it truly matters CHOKE. (Miss WIDE OPEN GUYS/HOLD THE BALL TOO LONG/BE VERY INDECISIVE) I used to stick up for him because of his potential.........IT's How many years later???? If He truly was a QB GREAT of all time....It would have happened by now and we wouldn't still be talking about upside and potential.........You have heard things a 1,000,000.00 times because they are true- Sorry to break the news bro
He gets too up and down on himself and is not a leader- least that's what I have seen these past years since Pep's been in the league.......

And just incase you don't know or don't believe me. Koren Robinson does having a drinking problem......But I am sure you will find ways to tell me how I am wrong , a conventional fan and etc. I am sick of these guys (Pep included) acting like spoiled Brats and demanding money and acting like fools. 20 yrs from now I would bet people will have forgotten about a QB with loads of talent that didn't win anything....
He looked like he was broken in his interview on ESPN and that look on his face usually isn't a good thing.

Honestly, he's living off of Randy Moss' glory. Moss' speed and incredible ball catching abilities allowed Pep to just throw it near him, and he would catch it. It's b/c of Moss' performance that Pep had those great years, and those years are what are putting him as one of the best qb's not his recent performances. Look at what he's done without Moss....NOTHING.

    Re: Same "OLE PEPPER"

Pep is a good QB ... in the right situations. He excels with the lead by putting pressure on defenses that cheat against the run and when way behind he can air it out ... but in close games, where reading it and making the right decisions before letting it fly is all too important ... he often lets his team down ... he has the tools if someone would show him how to rein it in.
