He was a failure as a QB but after having a few bouts with cancer myself there is no way I am going to make light of what he is dealing with. Hopefully he gets his life together and that this is his last round with it.

The guy flat out stank in the pro's and is open to ridicule for that but this is bigger than that, i hope he gets back to full health soon. I liked this line from him 'This was just another bridge for me to cross, and I will continue to live each day to the fullest and give back where I can!'.

about his statement..thats about all u can do for the time being. I find no humor in some of the posts as I lost my oldest brother (age 51) to brain cancer this last December. I will say Its quite amazing that some/certain brain surgeries are done with the patient being awake, but sedated for part of the procedure..to test certain functions (in my brothers case, taking too much of the tumor out, caused his speech to be affected). I wish Ryan Leaf the best in his recovery, and hopefully he'll lead a normal life going forward!
