NEW YORK -- The story is told by JaMarcus Russell and if what he says does not outrage you, if it does not make you sick to your damn stomach, then you are one heartless person.

It was probably the Raiders... They wanted to make sure they were getting a good character guy first and foremost.. Oh wait, that is Brad Childress, nevermind.. ;D

I don't have a problem with that. Dude is mostlikely gonna have a 40 milliion dollar contract. They should install cameras in his house just like that show big brother.

I really don't have a problem with it... he's looking at 60+ million dollars worth of contract money coming his way; I'd want to know everything I could. That being said, what a crappy PI to be noticed....sad.


I mean, the media follows around stars in much the same way; he's a star now.... not that far off.
(Don't get me wrong, I would HATE that to happen to me, but I see why it happens).

which is even more reason team should be able to spy on these guys.

I bet titans wished they had spied on Pacman last year.

If I were writing the cheques you can be damn sure that if I were about to give a guy $60 million to do a job for me I'd be doing everything in my power beforehand to make sure I'm getting the right guy.

Does Freeman honestly think that the NFL should fail to be proactive in determining the potential character of people who will be in the national limelight in the very near future?
I don't.

Truth be told, being followed and watched is not at all the same as having your "Rights" violated.
There was nothing invasive here.
And, when it all boils down, if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about.

Maybe more "We're following you" rumors should be started.
That way, more players might think twice about being tools in public and causing the next media sensation.
