rumor: three-team trade

John Murphy, of Yahoo Sports, reports Denver Broncos WR Ashley Lelie has been mentioned as part of a potential three-team trade involving the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots, according to a league source. Lelie would go the Patriots while the Broncos would receive Falcons RB T.J. Duckett and Patriots TE Daniel Graham. The Falcons would receive draft choices from both teams. Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan has denied there is a trade in the works involving Lelie.

I heard something about this yesterday on NFL Network!! that would be a big trade if the Broncos could get Duckett!!! he is more like a FB than a RB but for some reason Falcons keep him in their at RB, if anything i would use him more like The Bus!!!

NE gets:

gives up:
TE daniel graham (to denver)
draft pick (to atlanta)

DEN gets:
TE daniel graham (from new england)
RB tj duckett (from atlanta)
gives up:
WR ashley lelie (to new england)
draft pick (to atlanta)

ATL gets:
draft pick (from denver)
draft pick (from new england)
gives up:
RB tj duckett (to denver)

no way they give up that much for lelie

as for TJ, he could be a great compliment to tatum bell, much like he was to warrick dunn in atlanta

I can't see NE making that trade. They have never pursued big time receivers, and if even they wanted Lelie he is not worth a starting TE and a draft pick. I'm not sure what ATL's RB stable looks like right now, but can they afford to trade Duckett away? He gave them a lot of solid play time. The trade also suggests Denver is giving up on Putzier already. I don't see this one happening.
