Rule Changes to be Discussed at Owners Meeting
I didn't find an article about it, but I saw them talking about it on NFLTA
Here are some proposed changes:
Official Review:
-making penalties challengable
-changing review time to 60 seconds from 90
- after a 'down by contact' fumble, a challenge may challenge the fumble, and the turnover would occur at the spot of the fumble.. a change from the current non-challengable 'down by contact' if a whistle blows
-making all 'horse collar' tackles illegal...
-making 'avoidable' below the leg tackles on QB's illegal
i dont like (personally) the new 'down by contact' proposal.. seems to complicated
i also feel that QB's can tough it and not be safe from physical contacti m better than you, so just give up...

I don't see where changing the review time would make any difference. They pretty much ignore it now at 90 seconds. :razz:I didn't find an article about it, but I saw them talking about it on NFLTA

Adding the word "avoidable" to any rule is just a controversy waiting to happen. Seems to me if the QB is running with the ball you should be able to tackle him just like any other player. And whats below the leg? The foot? You can't grab a QB by the foot unless you can't avoid it? :???:
I think the Vikes should suggest that a poison pill guarantee cannot be added to a contract.  Wouldn't that frost the SeaChickens cookies.
