There isn't anyone who did what Peterson did...heck, he should get the Offensive Player of the Week for the whole NFL!
They will probably end up giving it to Brady....The next version of Favre Fever.... >

But hands down, AD deserves it without question.....
5 passing TDs, 388 yards and no picks on the road against an undefeated opponent trumps 224 yards and 3 rushing TDs.
Just barely, but it does, IMHO.
    Maybe.
But it is expected out of Brady.
With AP it was something special to watch...
    5 TDs is 5 TDs.
How many times does that happen a season?
Hell - LT had FOUR rushing TDs yesterday.
Awards are just awards, who cares. We got a W and AP put up some amazing numbers against a pretty respectable Defense. I'll take that over any award (but AP is winning Rookie of the Year).

Plus, when you have WRs like Moss, Stallworth and Welker... you had better be putting up some good numbers.

    Nice.
You say "Who cares about awards?" in one breath and then crow about AD winning the RoTY.

    LOL.
The discussion was about how the fawning media would probably give the award to Brady and I'm supporting that case.

About AP winning ROY... that's just fact.

And yes, Brady will probably win, but like I said, with receivers like that, he should be putting up great numbers.

If AD stays healthy he is a lock to win ROY.
Looking back at last season, I am happy that we only won 2 of our last 10 games.
It certainly did put us in a better draft position and select AD.

Read a great quote (can't remember who said it though)... Adrian Peterson is what Reggie Bush was supposed to be.

    I love it.

    That is a great quote.
Imagine how those six teams that passed on him in the draft feel watching his highlights every week.
If they held the draft over tomorrow he would surely be the first player selected.

At least twice: Raiders vs. Dolphins

I agree it's a toss up between a QB on the road with Brady's stats and a 200 yard, 3 TD rushing performance.
And I agree that LT's performance yesterday makes AD's numbers seem less impressive, especially since he put up nearly 200 yards as well as 4 TDs.

But I still like AD's performance because I think that Brady didn't make a ton of tough throws.
He had time most of the game, and he had guys wide open underneath.
Brady overthrew an open Moss several times.
Brady was good, but I thought AD was better.
    AD made AMAZING plays.
Over, and over, and over again.

And if he's the NFL offensive player of the week in my mind, that means he's also the rookie of the week, the year and the decade.
When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

I don't think it trumps 361 all-purpose yards, the third-highest total in NFL history.
Brady had a great game but I think AD had the more memorable.
However if the tables were reversed and in Bizzaro World T-Jack threw for 388 and 5 TDs, I'm sure I'd be pulling for him for player of the week.

Either way Peterson better get rookie of the week or I'm dropping it down to just above the Baseball All-Star game voting and just below the BCS in my estimation.

The voting & thread title are for Rookie Of the Week.

Brady & LT are not rookies.

AD will not get Offensive Player of the Week , but should get Rookie of the week.

I do know you're refering to the first post. Just thought I'd make that point since there's a difference between the two.
