    Re: Ben Roethlisberger motorcycle accident

I made my feelings about Steelers fans clear last year when we played the Steelers.

I know a handful of Steelers fans who are really good people, but from what I've seen, their "bad" fans are worse than anyone's.

At some point in time last year, I believe when Maddox subbed for Roethlisberger and threw a couple INT's, his house and yard were trashed by Steelers 'fans'. Who the hell does that to a guy who, I guess they forgot, took their team from nothing to the playoffs, only 3 years earlier, because he has a bad game. Or anyone on their favorite team, or anyone in general???

Steelers | Roethlisberger solid in debut
Sun, 13 Aug 2006 18:52:31 -0700 reports Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (head) had a solid preseason debut Saturday, Aug. 12, connecting on 3-of-4 passes for 29 yards. "He looked fine," said head coach Bill Cowher of Roethlisberger. "I liked the way he was out there. He looked good in the pocket. He made some plays. It was good he had the chance to get hit a couple of times. I told him in the future though I would rather he go down than fight to get free. That's what happens. You get out there and don't think about those things. It was good for him to get out there and just play. From that perspective I am glad we got that out of the way."
