Someone after some money. The problem is that Ben's name will be trashed forever.
That's lovely.
Because he couldn't possibly have actually done something stupid and wrong.
thats right, believe what the reporter tells you.
Its impossible to believe that a woman that Roethlisberger may or may not have done anything with would try and charge him for the sole purpose of getting rich.
I bet if some joe schmo was in roethlisberger's position, no lawsuit gets filed.
The reporter says a suit was filed.
And that Roethlisberger denies it.
That's all there is to the report.

What I don't like is the instant judgement that she must just be after some money and there's nothing to it.
what I don't like is the instant judgement that he must have, and I quote: Zeus wrote:

People already have dismissed the whole Kobe incident.

We are about to put the Vick thing behind us.

I am not going to judge Ben at this time.
This will be difficult for him true or untrue.

Re: Roethlisberger denies civil allegations of sexual assault

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/07/20/roethlisberger-denies-civil-allegations-of-sexual-assault/

Roethlisberger faces one civil count of assault, one civil count of sexual assault and battery, one civil count of false imprisonment, one civil count of false pretenses, one civil count of fraud, and one civil count of intentional infliction of emtional distress.

McNulty also claims that the coworkers named in the complaint thereafter defamed her by making allegedly false and inflammatory statements, and by allegedly serving as aiders and abettors of Roethlisberger's alleged misconduct after the fact.

Cornwell, a finalist for the position of NFLPA Executive Director who has represented in the recent past Saints running back Reggie Bush and Browns receiver Donte' Stallworth, points to the fact that no criminal complaint has been filed, and that no criminal investigation has occurred.

"The timing of the lawsuit and the absence of a criminal complaint and a criminal investigation are the most compelling evidence of the absence of any criminal conduct," Cornwell said.
"If an investigation is commenced, Ben will cooperate fully and Ben will be fully exonerated."

It's unknown at this point whether McNulty ever has attempted to file criminal charges as a result of the incident, which allegedly occurred in July 2008.
Civil suits not criminal = money not sentencing.

Seems from the comments that it has never been reported until now. I would tend to agree with those that think this is someone trying to get a quick buck.
That is my initial thought. ** not judging the woman in this case, just adding my initial thought as to why she didn't get an investigation going sooner and why it is only civil charges now, she could claim to have been so traumatized that she couldn't bring it upon herself.**

LOL! Why would Ben ask her to come up and fix the TV?
Why would she think she was going to be able to fix it.
Is she a maintenance worker at the hotel?
Ben shouldn't put himself in these situations.
We have seen supposed photos of him partying with girls since he has become a pro, nothing wrong with the partying aspect, but as a professional with money, he can't afford to be making those decisions.

I want to hear more before making judgment on who I think is the bad guy/gal here.

After reading Nodak's post on page 4, I added these **edits**.

What I don't like is the instant judgement that she must just be after some money and there's nothing to it.
what I don't like is the instant judgement that he must have, and I quote: Zeus wrote:
actually done something stupid and wrong.
I'm not deciding either way because no facts have been reported.
but you already have:

That's lovely.
Because he couldn't possibly have actually done something stupid and wrong.
Its already quite evident that you posess some godly gift of knowing the whole story, and being able to judge a man's entire life based on one action from that McNair ordeal.

Oh, for chrissakes.
Responding to a comment does not mean I have passed judgement.

Your right, but responding in a way that makes it sound as if you know something does.
I didn't respond that way.

"possibly" is the key word.
then you admit its possible that he might not have done anything stupid and wrong.
Absolutely.
As I said above - all we have is a suit and a denial.
No facts, no details.
We also know that no criminal charges were made and it took 1 year for the lawsuit to be filed.
Which means nor proves nothing.

=Z=

Neither does an accusation or a denial.
