Because he couldn't possibly have actually done something stupid and wrong.
thats right, believe what the reporter tells you.
Its impossible to believe that a woman that Roethlisberger may or may not have done anything with would try and charge him for the sole purpose of getting rich.
I bet if some joe schmo was in roethlisberger's position, no lawsuit gets filed.
The reporter says a suit was filed.
    And that Roethlisberger denies it.
That's all there is to the report.

What I don't like is the instant judgement that she must just be after some money and there's nothing to it.
what I don't like is the instant judgement that he must have, and I quote: Zeus wrote:

I'm not deciding either way because no facts have been reported.
    but you already have:

    That's lovely.
Because he couldn't possibly have actually done something stupid and wrong.
Its already quite evident that you posess some godly gift of knowing the whole story, and being able to judge a man's entire life based on one action from that McNair ordeal.

    Oh, for chrissakes.
Responding to a comment does not mean I have passed judgement.

No one knows what happened at this point.
And slicing and dicing my response to Redrouster to fit your purpose doesn't change that.

I just find it amazing that the athletes are always the ones who get the benefit of the doubt.

    Brett:
    Today?
Oh, man...You are taking away AT LEAST two more solid days of milking this thing, Ben.

    Ben:
    No, really...Today, dude.
You do that and I promise to call you a legend at least once in my next five interviews.

    Brett:
Make it ten and we got a deal.

    Ben:
    It is a deal.

History is what causes people to form THEIR OWN opinions. They have a right to make a judgment right now. I am willing to bet they are right. Jocelyn said it was the young girl who killed McNair right after the news broke. I said no way. Guess what SHE was right. I bet the people saying this is a money hungry bitch are right too.

Go look at the last few big sexual assault cases involving a celebrity, they mostly got off because in the end, its just some money hungry bitch (or in MJ's case, parent :P )
    Ron Mexico, Kobe, Mj, etc...
