y does madden rate seymour better than most of the ends that are better than him?! seymour only has like 21 sacks in all the seasons he has played.

Because he is an impact player and was a big reason the Pats were great last year.

That pretty much sums it up.


And also the Patriots have ran a 3-4 defense for every year he's been there. Getting sacks in a 3-4 is extremely difficult, especially with the size of NFL linemen.

Richard Seymour is awesome. I hate when people determine how good a D-lineman is by his sack total.

Seymour had 4 tackles and 2 sacks against the Steelers. This is no easy task. Pittsburgh has a really good line. Last year they had 3 Pro Bowlers from there line!

I watched the game and if he did not sack or make the tackle, he was terrorizing the Offense all day! He sets the tempo for the Pats Defense!
