Rex Grossman Fathead on sale
I just got an email from Fathead and noticed that Rex Grossman's Fathead is on special clearance price of $39.95 down from the regular $99 that active players normally are.
I know I got Daunte at clearance price when he was traded to Miami, but that is kind of a slap in the face for Sexy Rexy to be put on clearance price when he not only is still on the team, but I think is actually the starter this week isnt he?
Says alot about his status/value.
I wonder if the Fathead guys know something that we dont about the Bears about to cut him?

that is kind of a slap in the face lol, especially since like you said he's been back in the starting role at least for a tiny bit again

Re: Rex Grossman Fathead on sale
I also heard they have had to increase the price on the Barry Bonds Fathead.
Apparently they were losing money on the cost of materials as his head expanded over the years.

Re: Rex Grossman Fathead on sale
I work in an "alternative" school and we had adults vs. kids flag football game last week.
I had the play of the game when the old man went up for the ball and got leveled by a kid who had 40 lbs on me...got up and playfully spiked the ball in his face.
Mystuff down below got pinched and I was hurting a couple plays but I didn't show it.
The worst thing was the kid was wearing an orange Grossman jersey.
I hope my kid never gets wind of this...

Re: Rex Grossman Fathead on sale
Are they charging $39.95, or paying $39.95 for these?

Peace through superior firepower!

Seriously it is supply and demand, Capitalism at its best.
#1 they have a monopoly from the leagues whos likenesses they licence, and secondly it is a fairly heavy duty vinyl (or something similar) material that sticks on the wall due to a combination of surface tension and a low level adhesive.
The bottom line is people are apparently willing to pay that price, and thus that is what they command.
If people didnt buy them, the price would go down.
That is why I bought Daunte on sale, but as of yet have not bought AD, but I am seriously thinking about it.
That tells me that they are probably about right in their pricing structure.
If I grind over a purchase it is probably priced about right.
Dont get me wrong I would love them to be cheaper, but since they seem to be doing a pretty good business I dont see it coming anytime soon.
