I disagree.
You will never get 32 teams to all show restraint at the same time.
It is a competitive business worth over a billion dollars as a whole.
The only way to effect change to the rookie contracts is to regulate it.

The draft you feel emanates from the cold war between the NFL and its players association, as owners clearly are unhappy with profit margins since the latest extension of the collective-bargaining agreement kicked in two years ago.
