Maybe a Sunday night - not a Monday.
The NFL will not put Peyton Manning vs. Purple Jesus on non-NFLN cable.

    either one would be nice!

    SCHEDULE COMING “POSSIBLY NEXT WEEK”
...I sent an e-mail of my own to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello earlier today.

And he told me not to send him any more e-mails asking when the 2008 regular-season schedule will come out.

    Actually, he didn’t say that.
Instead, he said that the schedule will be released “possibly next week.”

how many prime time games do u guys think we are going to get?
    Three.

    The MNF against GB.
    Turkey Day against Detroit.
And a Sunday Nighter at home against the NYG.
    Is that speculation?
Or some insight to facts not presented to the greater masses.
It is the result of me pulling a wild guess out of my jiggly butt.

Actually, when I look at the schedule, that makes the most sense to me.

There are 18 MNF games, 16 SNF games (there isn't one the final week), 3 Thanksgiving games, 4 Thursday night games, and 3 Saturday night games in the season.
That is a total of 44 nationally televised games, which the average number of nationally televised games for each team is 2.75.
I used that number, and then looked at what games I think would generate the best ratings for the Vikes.

The GB game we already knew.
The Lions game on Turkey Day is a great way to highlight AD - which would bring in viewers to an otherwise dull game.
The NYG, as reigning champs, will have the most nationally televised games, so it stands to be a pretty good possibility.

I actually dislike prime time home games - messes with my schedule too much.

monday night?? try sunday night i think it will be a flex game since the last time the colts played the nfc north manning broke the TD record that year. and there really isnt any team on the colts schedule right now with the colts completely healthy would beat them.

I hate it when they play a game on any game other than Sunday.
Short weeks are a bad thing as it screws thier routine up.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

I know this was referenced elsewhere, but I didn't see it actually linked yet.

The NFL will be releasing the 2008 schedule tomorrow (April 15th) at 1 p.m. CT.
It will be aired on NFLN.

Colts we're average last year. They we're dominant a few years ago though.

PP.O home of vikings fans worldwide, and any other NFL fan stuck in the past.

It will keep me going until the draft.

I usually have to do a lot of planning.
We donated one set of tickets to charity again this year, so I have to coordinate that.
Also, I think I will be trying to arrange for a group of people I work with to bus down to the cities for a game, so that needs to be done.
Finally, my wife only goes to one or two games per year.
After she decides which ones, I am on the phone with my buddies to fill her seat for the games...

    Busy time.

    Could you e-mail
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello and have him switch that to Wednesday afternoon at one p.m. central?
Tomarrow is a bit of an inconvenience for me.

It will be nice to finally make plans. The flex schedule can still throw a wrench in there later in the season. But I'm saving a little vacation time in case.
What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"
