Regular season schedule to be announced...
Probably either on Friday, April 11, or Thursday April 17, according to PFT.
PFT thinks most likely the 17th.

We’ve been getting an endless stream of e-mails from readers who want to know when the 2008 NFL schedule will be released.
Don’t take this the wrong way, but stop it.
Please.
Just stop it.
Based on the current online schedule for NFL Network, it appears that the schedule will be released on April 17, at 4:30 p.m. EDT.

When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

The MNF against GB.
Turkey Day against Detroit.
And a Sunday Nighter at home against the NYG.Zeus wrote:

Or some insight to facts not presented to the greater masses.

Actually, when I look at the schedule, that makes the most sense to me.
There are 18 MNF games, 16 SNF games (there isn't one the final week), 3 Thanksgiving games, 4 Thursday night games, and 3 Saturday night games in the season.
That is a total of 44 nationally televised games, which the average number of nationally televised games for each team is 2.75.
I used that number, and then looked at what games I think would generate the best ratings for the Vikes.
The GB game we already knew.
The Lions game on Turkey Day is a great way to highlight AD - which would bring in viewers to an otherwise dull game.
The NYG, as reigning champs, will have the most nationally televised games, so it stands to be a pretty good possibility.
I actually dislike prime time home games - messes with my schedule too much.
