Regular Season Game In United Kingdom??
So how would you guys and gals feel about the possibility of the Vikes or any othe NFL team playing a game over here??The first NFL regular-season game outside the United States is expected to take place on October 2nd, when the Arizona Cardinals face San Francisco in Mexico City. If the Mexico event is a success, the league could bring a regular season fixture to the UK the following year, with Wembley or Twickenham possible venues for the game........

I remember when they played the Cardinals over there in the early 80's. I was stationed in the Netherlands and wished I could have gone.

Regular Season Game In United Kingdom??
As long as it is a road game and not a home game. Minnesota fans would never go for that. But I am not a big fan of this idea. The nfl wont be able to go global. I think they should try to expand the nfl here in the states. San Antonio needs a team, so does Los Angeles and Portland.

Regular Season Game In United Kingdom??
I'm afraid its not going to work, we love all Vikings fans from wherever but overseas y'all are few and far betwee, not enough fan base. Besides you already have the original football. To American, Canda try's, and it's a good game, but they made ti their own and that's what Europe or where ever else would have to do also. The NFL has room for only one more team, in Los Angeles, the league would get too watered down talent wise and that would be bad (see NHL) .
I'll shall drink many pints tonight for my fellow Viking fans overseas!Don't worry, I'll take care of it!!

It's probably highly unlikely the Vikes would get chosen to play, their profile isn't high enough IMO. If they did they wouldn't lose a home game. There's no way the league could expect a dome team to travel 4000 miles and play outdoors.
I think we could easily get 60000+ to attend a one-off game. I know for a fact that people will go no matter who's playing.
I'll have to stick to travelling to MN for my games :cry:My head is spinning round, I don t know what to do...

loved the quote from the article that El Barto posted
' Kirkwood also revealed that when the green light for the event is given, the aim would be to attract one of the teams that have a big fanbase in the country, and negotiations with the targeted franchises would need to begin soon '
that lets the packers out then :lol:Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...
