REF'S GOTTA GET THE FORCE OUT CALL BETTER

I don't know about anyone else, but as far as how the refs are fairing on the "force out" call (...when a receiver catches the ball and is then knocked out by a defender)...I think they better get their collective zebra heads together and start doing a better job.
Cleveland was absolutely robbed because some Back Judge doofus couldn't see that Kellen Winslow was knocked out of
bounds in the endzone as he made what would of been the game winning catch.
Why this particular play is not reviewable is beyond me.
These dolts have screwed this call up at least 10 times this season in various games ( I see a lot because I have Sunday Ticket).

I was particulary miffed and felt bad for the Browns because it was Arizona that won the game due to their terrible judgment on the play...the same team that knocked US out of the playoffs, because a receiver of theirs DID get the force out call on the last play of the game.

How do I sent a venting letter to the NFL's head of officials!?!...they seriously suck at this call!

I hear you, browns were robbed of a win in that game, and so were the vikings.

I also find it humorous that the Refs can go against the rules and get it right with the Cleveland kicking incident the other week, but it must be karma that they can't get this one right.

on this play winslow CLEARLY wouldve been in bounds, infact he probably wouldve been down a whole 3-4 feet in bounds had he not first been interfered with and secondly pushed out in mid air after making an absolutely unbelievable catch

its funny how thats not a force out, but a cardinals receiver a few years back catches one with no chance to get in bounds and its called a force out

unfortunately theres no way to fix this rule

I didn't get to see the play... thanks for putting it into perspective.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

see... the funny thing about this rule, as the analysts said on the post games shows.. most believe that they should either take the force out rule out of the game, or make it reviewable.

I'm personally with Emmitt Smith on his comments (i believe it was him anyways), its a judgement call, which does bring a human error element into the game, but thats the way it is for now, and imo should be.

Sure i'll get pissed if it costs us something, but i'll still stand by the fact that i don't think it should be reviewable, then the call will be used far too often, and be challenged constantly

Anyone remember the Refs getting it "right" back in 2003? Nate Poole? 9-7? Collapse? No playoffs?

Re: REF'S GOTTA GET THE FORCE OUT CALL BETTER

I think they should make it so a push out doesn't count as a catch. I figure, this is the NFL, the best of the best. If you can push a reciever out before his feet hit, it shouldn't count. But as the rule stands now, the vikes and browns have been screwed by this. In fact, that's why I hate the cardinals. I used to root for them, then that push out bs that screwed us out of the playoffs, ever since, I hate the cardinals.
